Panqa Mortadella Sandwich Recipe

🥪 Panqa Mortadella Sandwich
Ingredients
-
1 soft ciabatta roll or toasted baguette
-
3–4 slices mortadella (thick-cut preferred)
-
2–3 slices fresh mozzarella
-
1–2 tbsp Panqa Sauce
-
1 tsp olive oil or butter (for toasting)
-
Handful of arugula or baby greens
-
Optional: roasted peppers or pickled onions for extra punch
Instructions
1. Toast the Bread
-
Slice the roll and lightly brush each side with olive oil or butter.
-
Toast on a skillet or griddle until golden and crisp around the edges.
2. Warm the Mortadella
-
In the same pan, sear the mortadella slices just until the edges curl slightly — about 30 seconds per side.
-
This gives them a smoky, crispy edge that pairs beautifully with Panqa’s citrus heat.
3. Build It
-
Spread Panqa Sauce generously on both sides of the bread.
-
Layer mortadella, mozzarella, and greens.
-
Add roasted peppers or pickled onions if using for extra depth.
4. Press & Melt (optional)
-
If you want it melty, press the sandwich in a panini press or skillet with a weight for 2–3 minutes per side.
5. Serve
-
Slice in half and drizzle a touch more Panqa on top.
-
Enjoy warm — it’s rich, tangy, and just the right kind of messy.
Pro Tip
You can mini-size this into Panqa Mortadella Sliders — use small brioche buns and serve with a side of pickled veggies or chips.
