About Us

PANQA® started the same way most good things do — small, local, and made with love.
In our little Peruvian restaurant, Q’ero, in Encinitas, California, we made this sauce for Nana’s empanadas. It wasn’t meant to be bottled or branded. It was just something from our kitchen — bright with ají amarillo, rich with panca pepper, a little lemon, a little garlic, and a lot of heart. But people kept asking for it. They’d dip, taste, smile, and ask if they could take some home.
Over time, PANQA® became more than just a sauce. It became a story — our story — one we decided to share beyond the restaurant walls. Because like all great food, it has a way of bringing people together. Around tables, over laughter, between friends and family — it’s a reminder that the best things in life are meant to be shared.
We make PANQA® for our community — for the locals, the regulars, the friends who stop by just to say hi. We don’t care if you try it right away; we just want to bring you a little joy. Because we know once you do, you’ll tell someone you care about. You’ll pass it down the table. And that’s the real magic.
This is the taste of Peru, made in Encinitas, bottled with love, and shared one bite at a time.
